How are cattle brands named?
Brands are read left to right and top to bottom, using standard terms for how a symbol sits: Lazy means it’s lying on its side, Rocking means it sits on a rocker, Flying means it has wings, Tumbling means it’s tilted onto its corner, Reverse means it’s mirrored, and Circle means it’s enclosed in a ring.
Can I use a generated brand as my real ranch brand?
Treat it as inspiration only. A real, legally usable cattle brand has to be registered with your state’s livestock or brand board, which checks that it isn’t already taken in your area.
What symbols can appear in a generated brand?
Letters, numbers, and classic brand shapes such as a diamond, heart, cross, star, spade, triangle, arrow, or box — sometimes combined side by side, stacked with an “over”, or attached to a bar.
